Combine well-being and relaxation walk along the pilgrimage route to Västerlanda church.
You can also continue on to the Pilgrim Trail Göta Älv in Lilla Edet if you want. The pilgrim trail stage 7 and the pilgrim trail stage 8, Lilla Edet.
The pilgrimage route close to the castle, starts at St Olof´s spring which is 2,4 km from the castle.

Below packages can be booked from March 1st until our Christmas event starts November 17th.
Combine your stay with a prosperous and relaxing hike in magical virgin forest.
The pilgrimage route extends down to Västerlanda church 12 or 16 km, or why not a walk around our own hiking trails. You can choose between 2, 4 and 6 km.
The pilgrimage route starts at St. Olof’s spring just above the castle.
The cultural environment around Thorskog was named one of Västra Götaland’s cultural heritages in 2019 and borders the Svartedalen nature reserve.
You can put your luggage at the castle and get a map of the hiking trails, or you can choose to arrive at the castle at 15.00 to hike the next day. You walk at your own pace with time for reflection. Along the way there are opportunities to rest in beautiful surroundings. If you don´t wish to walk that far, there are nice picnic areas around our lakes and ponds. If you choose to walk the Pilgrim Trail, we can arrange for you to be picked up at the final destination and driven back to castle.
