Wenngren

Wenngren

Trädgårdsmästeriet

The “Wenngren” room is named after Olof Wengren, who arrived in Thorskog in 1730 and laid the foundation for the industrial development of the place. He established an ironworks, built a manor house where the castle now stands, built ponds and created the English park that still surrounds the castle. Olof Wengren was ennobled and bequeathed his patron privileges and his coat of arms to the mill.
