Linné

Trädgårdsmästeriet

The “Linné” suite is located on the ground floor of the Garden Master’s Office, one of the castle’s most charming buildings. The name is a tribute to Carl von Linné, who, according to local tradition, is said to have visited these areas during his travels in Västergötland. Although there is no confirmed information that he specifically visited Thorskog’s mill or the English park, it is a fascinating thought that he may have walked in these surroundings.

A suite with botanical inspiration

A room that celebrates Linnaeus' legacy

The “Linné” suite is decorated with inspiration from the botanical voyages of discovery of the 1700th century. Here you will be greeted by high ceilings with beautiful stucco and classic wallpapers. The carefully selected antique furniture and textiles in soft colors create a harmonious environment where history and comfort meet.
