Gaffelseglet
The room “The Fork Sail” is a tribute to Thorskog’s rich shipbuilding history. Between 1867 and 1926, Thorskog’s shipyard was a bustling place for shipbuilding, where many ships saw the light of day. One of the most notable was the cargo ship Olof Trätälja, built in 1879, making it Sweden’s oldest iron ship still in commercial use. Today, the ship is known as M/S Sydfart and has its home port in Kalmar.
