Thorskogs Slott is a true Sleeping Beauty castle, nestled in a magnificent English park, just 30 minutes north of Gothenburg and three hours south of Oslo. Here you will find everything you need to create your dream wedding, no matter the season. Wedding at the castle

We have been arranging weddings for more than thirty years and therefore have solid experience and a great commitment to making your big day just as successful as you have always dreamed of!
Friday – The party begins!
Weddings, 50th birthday parties or company anniversaries will be unforgettable at Thorskogs Slott. Or why not renew your vows? We will take care of your guests and ensure that they have a breathtaking party in a historic castle setting. You can enjoy the big day in peace and quiet and leave all the practicalities to us.
Saturday - The big day!
08:00-10:00 The castle breakfast is set out.
If the weather permits, it is fine to sit outside on our beautiful patio. The bride and groom must not forget to eat properly, even though it may not be easy with all the butterflies in their stomachs that usually appear.
The bride and bridesmaids have plenty of time and space to get ready in the beautiful Karin room. You can book a hairdresser, make-up artist, etc. to come to you at the castle.
10.00 During the morning, we can, for example, arrange a groom's pitch and putting competition in the park for your guests or a refreshing points walk (with questions about the bride and groom) to Skogsgläntan. The walk to Skogsgläntan takes about 15 minutes and ends with a simple lunch in the fresh air. A hearty soup with butter and bread by the crackling fire is just as good in winter as in summer.
12.00 If you would like lunch at the castle, in good weather we will be happy to serve all guests hearty wraps and drinks on a buffet in the Flower Room to take out into the castle park.
14.00 The big moment. Wedding in the castle park, Västerlanda church, Romelanda church or another location. (The bride and groom arrange their own officiant. Those who wish to have a civil wedding can be married at Thorskogs Slott – ask us for more information). We can also arrange an indoor wedding in the atmospheric Jägarsalen or in the stables.
15.00 Red carpets are rolled out and guests arrive. The bride and groom arrive last in a beautiful car or horse and carriage. Wedding toasts with sparkling wine/champagne and canapés or strawberries are served at the Castle Garden. Music at the castle center (can be arranged).
16.00 Toastmaster invites guests to the table in the beautiful Orangery, where you can enjoy a well-composed four-course wedding menu under the glow of crystal chandeliers. The tables are festively set with beautiful china, linen tablecloths and the castle's tall, elegant flower arrangements and beautiful napkin folds. The castle has its own florist and will arrange your arrangements with your own favorite flowers and colors.
21:00 Thorskog's wedding cake is served with coffee and avec in the salons. We are happy to help you get in touch with other patisseries in the area if you would like other inspiring wedding cake ideas.
22.00 The toastmaster gathers all the guests in the Orangeriet where the tables have now been removed and made room for a large and inviting dance floor. The wedding waltz is played, you take your first dance steps as a married couple and then the dance floor is filled with all your loved ones. The bar opens. We are happy to help you arrange a DJ or other musical entertainment.
01.30 Dinner is served to end the evening.
The bar closes and the last dance is played.
02.00 The evening is coming to an end, but if you want the evening to continue, you can add an hour in the Orangery.
Sunday
08.00 Coffee with croissant for early risers.
09.00 - 11.00 The castle breakfast buffet is served. We are happy to serve breakfast to the bride and groom in the bridal suite.
12:00 The last guests say goodbye to Thorskogs Slott for this time and our hope is that you and your guests have experienced an unforgettable wedding day together.

Planning and consultation
You are welcome to book a time for planning in peace and quiet. For weddings with over 60 guests, two meetings for consultation and planning are included. For smaller weddings, one planning meeting and one telephone consultation are included. If more meetings are desired, these will be charged at 500 SEK/hour.
Castle florist
Our own florist will help arrange floral decorations for the wedding and additional decorations at the dinner, such as altar flowers, tall floor arrangements and pew flowers according to the quote. Transport of flowers to and from the church can be arranged by Thorskogs Slott.
