How to get here?
Here you can read more information about the easiest way to get here, whether you are traveling by car or public transport.
from Gothenburg
Drive E6 north towards Oslo, to Kungälv. Take the second exit to Kungälv (after the Nordre Älvs bridge) signposted centre/hospital. Pass the first traffic light and Mc Donalds on your right! At the second traffic light drive straight ahead towards Lilla Edet/Diseröd for exactly 22 km. In the community of Thorskog, the castle is located on a hill on the left.
(From Tingstad Tunnel to Thorskog Castle approx. 35 minutes).
From Trollhättan
Drive road 45 south towards Gothenburg, to the Lilla Edet / Ljungskile exit towards road 167. Follow the road over the Lilla Edet bridge. At the traffic lights after the bridge, turn left towards Kungälv. Follow this road for 11 km. In the community of Thorskog, the castle is located on a hill on the right.
(From southern Trollhättan to Thorskogs Slott about 35 minutes).
From Uddevalla
Drive E6 south towards Gothenburg to Ljungskile. Take the Lilla Edet exit. Drive over the viaduct then right. At the Lilla Edet sign, turn left. Drive about 15 km (via Backamo). In Lilla Edet at the traffic lights, turn right towards Kungälv and follow this road for 11 km. In the community of Thorskog, the castle is located on a hill on the right.

Travel alternatives
We have agreements with bus and taxi companies and are happy to help with booking.
If you travel by public transport, line 422 runs every hour during the day on weekdays between Kungälv and Lilla Edet.

The Torskog Norra stop is located just below the castle.
It is also possible to fly from Stockholm Bromma to Trollhättan Malöga with Västflyg.
